This looks kinda bad.

I really appreciate how even after Eddie fell off the wagon at first, he got back on it by taking more pills. Usually in movies where a character hits a low after a prolonged high, the character doesn't get back to the high until the very end of the movie. In this case, there were multiple circumstances in which Eddie hit a low point, but got more pills and got back on his high (no pun intended) and this kept it more interesting because I, as the viewer, wanted to see him keep taking the pills because it made him awesome, something that the viewer wishes they could be. That's why this movie is appealing...to have the idea to maximize your brain power and be fucking epic is such a strong desire for us as humans, we want the character to stay on his high the whole time.
Overall, I give it a B.

just got back from seeing this finally. Good thing I went a lil earlier than I usually do as it was sold out.
It actually exceeded my expectation of it. Great storyline, lil bit of action, some gangster shit and some great back n forth between Cooper and DeNiro. That exchange at the end was fantastic. DeNiro needs to play a badmotherfucker more often.
I'd recommend it to anyone still on the fence about it.
