My biggest problem with Stephen King is his endings. He writes great stories, but frequently fucks up with a shitty ending. I still love him, though. I'm embarrassed to say I've only read the first book in the Dark Tower series.

just read the next three and then make the rest of it up.

come on man, while you may not be a huge fan of the last few books you sure as hell know that you're not gonna convince someone who's halfway through the series to just stop reading it. that's crazy talk.

Yeah. Second year of college is when you stop caring about good storytelling and just want to read books that are written really "well". I prefer to mix the two up. Read a classic or two then read a couple books for the story. Stephen King works great for that.
It's rare to find a book that has both of these qualities.

i know this. but that doesn't make me hold the last three books of the series in any higher regard.
