I TiVo'd it and I really liked it. I wasn't digging Gene's pimping of KISS ( posters, footage, them listening to it for rock history ), but I think he's funny. Emperor rules. His singing towards the end was so funny. But it's likeable.
Anyone else see it?

This show reminds me of a movie that came out recently... oh man, what was it called? It had a grungy rocker try to bring rock music to a bunch of classicaly trained upper-class middle school kids while finding his own 'inner rocker.'

I don't know why you're rolling your eyes at me. Lemme let you in on a little secret...
...I didn't produce the show!...
Can you believe it? I enjoyed School of Rock, so why can't I enjoy this show too? Not to mention that this is real life and I'd like to see how they end up in the end.

I saw a replay at like 1am. It was ok I guess. It didn't have me laughing out loud. Simmons is a tool bag. But so was that deputy headmaster. Stop trying to act tough for TV purposes. Give me a break. We all know that you signed a contract with VH1, so it's not like you are going to fire Simmons or anything.

Yeah, that was weaksauce.

Hey guess what, my response had nothing to do with you.

I wasn't expecting much. I knew Gene used to be a teacher before forming Kiss. And that Emperor kid rocking out towards the end to 80s-era Kiss was strange. It's like he just found his old man's vinyl albums and was getting into rock for the first time. I'd hate to think that's what I might have looked like years ago.
It was surprising to see VH1 actually had something on that related to music.
