I DVR'd this movie on FX the other night. It was wild. It's a documentary set a couple of years in the future. It recalls a huge hurricane that hits New Orleans and crashes our oil supply. Gas ends up over 8 dollars a gallon. And the US has to look to Saudi Arabia and Moscow for help. It was really good, did anyone else see this?

A documentary set in the future??? But wouldn't?????? I mean????? Oh shit if Michael Moore can make up a fictional past, no reason a documentary from the future is less credibile.
But that sounds like a cool idea. But how would a hurricane hitting New Orleans crash the oil supply?
A movie that would interest me though, would be the nuking of New York. What sort of impact would that have on this country? It would most certainly cause an economic depression, cause a level of prejudice rivaling nazisim, and probably lead to WW3 involving all sorts of nukes from all sorts of fronts. That could make a great movie and a great warning about where we are headed. To bad Kubrick already made it under a different context.

Alright, nice unwarranted slam on Michael Moore. But this is F/X's new schtick. They had the Smallpox movie, now the No More Oil movie. They're all reasonably entertaining w/ about 15 billion hours of commercials.

How exactly does Michael Moore make up the past? Everything he talks about in his movies can be factually proven. He has an incredible bias, but its the truth.

its hard to explain, but they drill for most of our oil like 20 miles out into the ocean and it is brought in via this big ass pipe...(cant remember what its called, but we will call it a big ass pipe) but during the hurricane it gets torn apart...it starts a chain of events that messes everything up. people end up dieing in their own homes from frost bite, because they cant get the oil to heat thier homes...
