Seems kind of stupid to buy this before the series is over
That makes no sense... These seasons generally go for $40-50 a piece for BluRay so $108 for all 5 seasons was a no brainer. My brother will love em plus I can go back and re-watch some of the episodes before the final season starts in February.

Seems like a decent possible argument. I mean, I'm not buying the redone "Utlimate Editions" of the first 2 Harry Potter movies even though they've got new extras, partly because you just know that by the time the second half of Deathly Hallows is ready for video and the series is finally done, they'll surely put out one massive, truly complete set of all 8 movies in a really extravagant way.

Yes you're absolutely correct to assume that they'll be releasing a "collectors" box set at the finish of the show but A) I could care less about behind the scenes interviews etc. that are attached to these sets and B) There's not a chance in hell that they'd have the collector's edition for $109, blu-ray that is.
