I got it for Gamecube, it's the only system I have. It's fun. I wish I would've bought the PC version though so I could do roster updates. Crosby and the other rookies aren't in the game yet because they aren't officially part of the NHLPA, but they should be in there with the first roster update. A good number of the offseason moves are accounted for already, but I forget what the cut off date was.
Scoring is hard as hell this year and the AI is pretty tough. You really need to be sharp on defense. It takes more than just one timers to beat the goalies. What I don't like is that you have a far better chance of scoring goals with special moves such as camping behind the net and flicking the puck up and the air and smacking it in the goal.
It was well worth my $30. And I think NHL 94 is only in the PS2 version.

I have it for PS2, yes, there's a playable version of NHL 94 and yes, I'm crazy enough to have gotten a roster update FAQ and spend hours making the rosters the way they should be (there's a really good, completely comprehensive one on GameFAQs.com if anyone's interested).
It's the most realistic hockey game I've ever played. They've pretty much got it down to a science with this one. I'm really, really enjoying it.

Yeah I tried the same roster update FAQ but I got frustrated with the limited room in Free Agency and trying to get rid of retired players. I just made all of the roster moves for the Penguinss and a few other big transactions and called it quits. After I did that the Pengs had the highest overall rating except for the all-star and international teams.
