Looks like they will be competing with The Simpsons in quality and longevity. Funny how its 2 cartoons that have lasted this long. I think its because the cartoons arent as demanding as actors.

#1 reason: cartoon charachters don't age.

awesome news. South park hasn't missed a beat either. If anything it has gotten funnier over the years(something The Simpsons can't claim).

yeah, its has gotten a lot better since they decided to make it mostly a satire of current events. i honestly cant remember the last time i watched a new simpsons episode. or even wanted to.

My favorite tv show of all time. I'd prefer that they keep the show going this way instead of just doing 30-some episodes a year and then ending it. South Park is always hilarious and has great commentary on whatever is going on at the time.

definitely, their approach is much better now but i also like how they spread out the obvious political episodes and also throw in shit like Awesome-O

Definitely. Making Butters/Professor Chaos one of the main characters was a smart move too. I can't wait for the Season 6 dvd.

Wow, this is a surprise actually. I love South Park, but I remember Trey and Matt saying a little over a year ago that they would do two more seasons of South Park and then they're done. They already did one, so I figured this would be their last.
