so this may seem a little freaky, and maybe you have heard of it, but this thing has been going on in philly for a while and i am thinking about going this weekend, the trouble is i don't know anyone who went. if you've gone, let me know how it was.
heres some info for those of you who didn't hear about it:
At BODY WORLDS, you experience the power and vulnerability of the wondrous human body. Authentic specimens reveal the complexities and individuality of the body that simply can't be shown on conventional models. Perhaps most amazing are the exhibit’s full-body plastinates - many displayed in dynamic poses. The wide range of specimens shows how the body works when it’s healthy and how it breaks down when it’s not. Compare healthy lungs with those of a smoker, a disease-free liver with one showing hepatocirrhosis. You will leave the experience with a new respect for your body - and perhaps new motivation to commit to healthier habits!
I've been to the exhibit in Philly... it's really cool. Especially if you've ever taken an anatomy class or go w/someone who has a medical background. Definitely worth seeing, though I don't know if I'd pay another $25 to see it again.
