Did anyone catch this last night on Discovery? Basically it's a series in which people tell stories about harrowing experiences. This week it was about passengers on a yacht who were adrift at sea for 6 days or so. Pretty interesting, although the re-enactment was way incredibly cheesy. Two guys drank seawater and went crazy, eventually jumping off the raft and getting eaten by sharks. One woman had been cut in the leg when the yacht went down, and died very slowly of blood poisoning from the infected wound. The other two survivors were rescued by a Russian ship shortly after she died.

Well, it's more of a "triumph against the odds"-type show, or at least it tries to be. They don't go out of thier way to show the deaths.

Nat'l Geographic did a survival thing following 3 guys stranded in the desert, woods, and frozen mountains consecutively. They told you from the start that one guy would die. It was an awesome special.
