Anyone ever read any Crowley? If so what would be a good book to ease into his works?

I can't say I've read much but if I remember right, "The Equinox" was his most famous and regarded work.. So I'm guessing (just like music) to start with the most famous and work backwards. Hope that helps. But it is also about 4500 pages and about 275 dollars on amazon, but I think you might have be able to buy just the more influential chapters from the book.

Jimmy Page was a huge fan of his work. The media would accuse him of dealing with black magic simply because of his interest with Mr.Crowley.

I've always been more interested in his philosophical writings than his occult writings (which of course are what he's famous for). My favorite book of his is The Book of Lies. Full of freemason jargon/imagery, but the core of it is very similar to Zen & Kabbalistic writing. Well worth the effort.
