It's a drama which revolves around a polygamist played by Bill Paxton ("Apollo 13" and "Frailty") and his relationship with his three wives, played by Chloe Sevigny, Jeanne Tripplehorn, and Ginnifer Goodwin.
Bill Paxton's character is Bill Henderson, a practicing polygamist and successful home improvement warehouse store owner with three wives and three sets of children. Despite his success, the strain of three families is growing on Bill as his estranged brother tells him that their father is extremely ill and their mother refuses to take him to a doctor. Said event prompts Bill to return to the poor rural fundamentalist community he grew up in and revisit the decisions he's made in his life.
Amanda Seyfried has signed on to play the contract role of Sarah Henrickson, the oldest daughter of Bill Paxton's character (her character is about 4 years younger than Bill's youngest wife). Other actors who have joined the cast include: Jolean Wejbe, who plays Bill's nine-year-old daughter, and Grace Zabriskie. (source: thefutoncritic.com)
• This 1-hour drama focuses on Bill Henderson, a practicing polygamist with three wives and three sets of children. He has done well for himself with a successful home improvement warehouse store and a new one about to open. But life with three growing families is complicated, not to mention expensive, and Bill is starting to feel the strain of taking care of everyone— including a new store chock full of new employees. To make things worse, Bill learns from his estranged brother that their father is extremely ill and their mother refuses to take him to a doctor, prompting Bill to make a visit to the squalid rural fundamentalist community he grew up in. Tom Hanks’ Playtone production company is producing this odd-sounding show. (source: filmjerk.com)

• NEW 11/18/2005 - HBO boss Chris Albrecht is going to make "Deadwood" fans wait an extra three months for the return of Al Swearengen, Seth Bullock and the rest of the gang.
The Emmy-winning Western was supposed to premiere its third season in March, airing right after "The Sopranos." Instead, HBO decided to give the post-Tony and Carmela timeslot to "Big Love," a new drama about polygamy starring Bill Paxton. "Deadwood" will now return in June.
"I think HBO just felt like we ('Deadwood' and 'Sopranos') were both established entities," says "Deadwood" producer Mark Tinker, "and they'd be wasting us together while not giving 'Big Love' a lead-in."
Tinker's not concerned with the delay, since it may give overworked creator David Milch time to take a breath before polishing off the season's final scripts. Milch is busy enough developing an HBO period crime drama based on "NYPD Blue" producer Bill Clark's days as a rookie undercover cop in the'70s, and also wants to do a project with former "Blue" star Kim Delaney.
