This show had its seasons. I dont like the old shows very much. I think seasons 1-4 with Coach and Diane just were not as funny as the ones with Woody and Rebecca. This show is a classic. Woody has some of the best one-liners in the business.

Coach freakin' ruled.

One of my favorite episodes....Kevin McHale counting the bolts in the Garden floor. Fantastic.

I would say that it was the funniest show of the 80's, even though I wasn't alive for half the decade  . But i love watching it on Nick at Nite :o

It's funny that he has the same name in real life as in the show.

Charlie Sheen is the same way, his character on Spin City and Two and a Half Men is called Charlie.

Are these actors not smart enough to remember a different character name for the shows they're on?

Based on what we know about Charlie Sheen and Woody, I'm going to say no.

Agreed.

The first few seasons with Rebecca were the best, but it started to suck towards the end. I don't watch the ones with Diane at all because I find her annoying.

Ditto.

My favorite episodes are the ones involving the prank war w/ Gary's Old Towne Tavern...especially the one where Sam gets revenge on the Cheers gang for being involved in one of the pranks against him.

I liked it when Cliff and Carla would "bicker" back and forth. I also loved Coach.

It's a little known fact, that Cliff is the man.

I like the episode when Woody first meets that hot blonde. He dates her to get revenge at her boyfriend. (what-a-dipshit)

Simply incredible show. Diane was definitely annoying, but Coach more than made up for it. The show took a different tone after Diane left, it became more sit-comy, if that makes sense.

Best Episodes:

1. Thanksgiving show
2. Cliff on Jeopardy
3. When Sam acts like Rebecca is his fiance to impress Diane who's also "engaged" to impress Sam...then Rebecca runs away with her real boyfriend and Diane's fiance is really gay and his boyfriend takes him away...too great.
4. I liked Sam's rivalry with the upstairs guy. Is that the one when they start chanting "We will Rock you"? ...classic
Damn, im sure there are so many.

Coach: "Cheers. Yeah, just a sec. Is there an Ernie Pantusso here?"

Sam: "That's you coach."

Coach: "Speaking."

anybody who thinks woody is better than coach obviously never saw much of coach

Quote:
Coach: "Yeah, a beautiful school teacher."

Diane: "And Sam is her favorite?"

Coach: "Well, I can't say that, but Sam's the only one I ever saw her kiss."

Diane: "They kissed?!?"

Coach: "Yeah, I saw them smooching in the parking lot. I was putting up a notice here on the bulletin board."

Diane: "With probing tongues?"

Coach: "No Diane, with a thumbtack and my thumb." .
