I go to Borders all the time just to chill and read some books and magz...anyway...I always ee these great Phtoshop and Graphic Design Magazines that give all kinds of tutorials and usually come with one or two CDs filled with images and plug-ins...

these magazines are usually 15 bucks each...

can anyone say if these are actually worth the money?

Are you talking about this one? They give some of the tutorials away on there website. Others are available for a couple of dollars. I think they are worth buying every now and then. One time 3D World (one of there sisiter publications) gave away an older version of Cinemia 4D for free.

I buy some of them...but more the ones that geared around web applications and design. Sometimes they are very much worth it, just because it's got everything all in one place. I'm sure I could find similar tutorials online, but I like having a magazine that I can take in the crapper, on the bus, whatever and have in front of me, instaed of flipping between windows.

also, check out http://www.pixel2life.com. I'm sure they have many similar tutorials there that you don't have to pay for. :)
