Every year my college has a film festival that showcases independent films for a week. There's a good variety of shorts/features lengths, and on the weekend they have midnight screenings at the local theater of classic theatrical films. Last year they showed Taxi Driver, this year they acquired prints of 2001: Space Odyssey, The Princess Bride, and Brazil. I'm excited although I've seen 2001 on the big screen a few years ago at another film festival.
I actually give credit to myself for bringing in 2001 since the director of the festival who's a grad student was in my experimental film class last summer and I was in this conversation with him about what a great film it was and all. I suppose that's stretching it a bit

You lucky bastard, that's my favorite movie. Although considering how big our film school is they probably already have prints, and could show them at any time. I should look into that.
