This sucks. Krock isn't great but it's better than any station in NY. The death of rock continues in NY

Bummer for Julie Slater. She was OK.

David Lee Roth will suck big time. Actually, the whole station will. Another reason not to listen to radio

I don't understand how David Lee Roth ever became even a remote possibility to fill such a desired timespot. I loved the guy as the front man of Van Halen, but everything since has been utter crap. The guy is wacko and I can't think of a single intelligent thing I've heard come from his mouth. Did he recently have a frontal lobotomy I'm not aware of?

Of course, he may appeal to the vast majority of Stern's fans who just want to hear someone drool over a girl stripping in a radio booth.

It's not just k-rock. WYSP, the channel that carries Stern here, is going all talk as well.
AWESOME news for us at MMR, but TERRIBLE news for the city as a whole.

Philadelphia is now down to ONE rock station. Two, if you count mgk, but that's all classic classic (read: OLD ASS) rock.

i'm not trying to pick a fight. perhaps MMR should take a page out of MGK's book then and actually play music and not commercials, and play more than 10 bands.

YSP sucked anyways... it's only been good for Eagles games. And I like MGK, it took the spot of Y100 on my radio.

Why bother naming someone to replace Howard, because according to Stern, all of his listeners are going to sign up for Sirius anyway. But seriously, XM and Sirius are slowly killing FM radio.

krock is responsible for there own demise, they never figured out a program format to go with, they had a program director who had NO clue how to run a station. Satellite radio has taken over.

I haven't listened to fm radio in about 3 years. I have had xm and now sirius radio since I have worked for Crutchfield (an electronics retailer). I can't wait until everyone else discovers satellite radio, it is the greatest invention since the internet.
