Post subject: Will there be another Star Wars? (OMG)

I mean its possible. He could make some movies about the formation of the republic and the origins of the Jedi. He could have a young Yoda. Or he could go on past Episode 6, I think Han Solo and Leia were supposed to have gotten married and have kids in the books. They could have things happen later in the future.
My feeling is that Lucas will expand the Star Wars universe through Video Games, books, and TV shows. We might see another movie years down the line, like 10 years.

That's what I'm thinking. Lucas knows that there is a demand for the Star Wars Universe. If he puts out another movie, IT WILL DO GOOD AND MAKE TONS OF MONEY.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading a couple of decades ago that Lucus had the entire story written in the 70's and in a safe, and was knowlingly splitting it into 6 parts, with no plan for anything more than that.
4, 5, 6, then 1, 2, 3 seemed to always be the plan. I would find it very difficult to believe that he has since sat down and written a 7, 8 and 9 which essentially takes a person out into the demise of Luke and Leah at some future point, which I don't see why anyone would care about given that they essentially "succeed" for the most in their task against the "dark side" in 6.

He already has tons of money. I totally see him doing the games and animation and comic book or books in general market, but I don't see another film.
Star Trek had a huge literary precence in the 1970's and early 1980's with dozens of paperback books being written by all sorts of different authors, I don't see why Star Wars wouldn't experience the same sort of literary "boom".

There's going to be a live action TV series? When will this take place?
Presumably between Ep. 3 and Ep. 4.
4 seasons, 100 episodes. Starring previously minor charachters.
Thats about all the info that been released.

This is it. There won't be any more. It's consumed his life and while he'll still be involved in some things (ie: the 3d versions) and the company will still make games and other things, there will be no more films and he wants to move on to other things. Lucas has said that if there are films somewhere down the road, it would be with someone else making them. He's also said that he thinks television is the next medium for the franchise. It doesn't mean that this won't change and that there won't be any more movies, but I wouldn't hold my breath. If it happened, it wouldn't be for quite a while.
look at the formulas coming out of the hollywood shitstream for the past five-ten years and tell me, with a straight face, the pressure for someone to realize episodes 7, 8, and 9 won't be immense.
i'd bet my genitals that, barring an untimely demise on my part, there's three more star wars flicks in my lifetime.
