Came out here yesterday, not sure if it will come out in the US being an australian film and all. If it does its worth watching.
It was a very violent and very truthful account of what happened, and depicts the ANZAC spirit very well. My girlfriends grandfather was in the 39th battalion which took the first wave of the japs and he got lost so i think it hit home for her a bit.
Not the best acting but the;y get the point across.

A FILM based on Australia's bloody campaign along the Kokoda Track highlights its importance to a new generation, says lead actor Jack Finsterer.
Kokoda, set in 1942, tells the story of a group of Australian soldiers cut off from their supply and communication lines.
More than 2100 Australian soldiers were killed and 3500 wounded along the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea, in what was one of Japan's first reverses in the Pacific war.
