Rate him on a scale of one to 10
I'd give him a 6.5 (as far as comedians go) he gets a lot of shit and a lot of it is rightfully deserved and perhaps even suicide-inducing, but he's had some hilarious moments as well.
In case you were wondering, Bill Murray would be like a 10 (cause of versatility and amount of good roles) and Carlos Mencia would be a 1 (unoriginal and purely tasteless).

7.5/10
I don't always like everything he does (let's face it - he accepts some really shitty roles sometimes), but when he wants to be, he can be really fucking hilarious.

I agree with you. There are times when he can overact things.

He's made some awful, awful movies. Anchorman being sample A#1.
apparently, you haven't watched it more than once. i think anchorman gets funnier with subsequent watches.

People quoting Anchorman left and right ruins the whole movie.

And Matt, I've gained more respect for you with your grade for Mencia. I absolutely loathe that guy.
Also, I've found that several of Farrell's movies I found funnier the second and third time I saw them. First on that list is Old School. Didn't do much for me the first time, but I've probably seen it 6 times now, and I'll watch it any time it's on TV.
