The movie is dead. Its not going to happen now that the show is returning in January.

This is true. They had planned for a straight to video movie but since being resigned onto FOX they are going to release the movie over 3 episodes. If you look at the names for the Season 4 shows you'll see:

#4ACX05 - Stewie B. Goode (Part I)
#4ACX06 - Bango Was His Name Oh (Part II)
#4ACX07 - Stu & Stewie's Excellent Adventure (Part III)

That will technically be the movie.
