I was actually surprised how good this film was. It was the last of the Kinski/Herzog collaborations (1988 I believe) and was made a few years before Kinski died. Well his performance was utter brilliance as expected, and Herzog delievered some fantastically beautiful images (particularly the hundreds of flag wavers). The narrative drops off and falls apart at the end, but the last moments of the film feel attributed to Kinski's exhaustion both in character and as an actor.
But again, its still an absolutely gorgeous film with a memorable performance. Recommended for the Kinski/Herzog fans. ALSO, I didn't realize Kinski was in A Few Dollars More. Apparently he made like a hundred films or so. Incredible actor.

And as for the plot line, its about a ruthless South American bandit who becomes an African slave-trader and leads an army of natives against an oppressive local king. So its in an epic Lawrence of a Arabia mode.
