Man, I don't do drugs, but i felt as though i did after having watched it. It left me feeling pretty strung out.

And i was surprised by Marlon Wayan's performance. I thought he did a damn good job in a role more serious than you'd expect to see him in.

It was too close to home for me...but yes, beautifully shot, beautifully screen plotted, beautifully acted.

BTW: Perhaps a useless trivia, but the film was entirely shot on video...

One of the most depressing movies I've ever watched, but I guess that was the point...

"Unsettling" and "disturbing", yes it is, and very sad, the entire film, but especially the woman who wants to be on t.v.

Yeah, I think Sara is the only true tragedy of the movie, honestly. Although, you could honestly make a case that NONE of the 4 characters suffered a tragedy in the literary sense.

It's true... Patty chicks do give good head. :naughty:

I really enjoyed this movie, but it didn't shock me as much as I expected it would.

yes, very depressing - I don't know which character is the most pitiful
they are all so desperate to feed their addictions, however they can

very sobering film, makes you think

definitely overrated... production wise cool, but the story wasn't that cool in my opinion, had room for improvement.... but ass to ass was great i couldn't stop laughing, one of the best endings ever!!!

No one here will ever convince me otherwise...

Charcters / Reaction

Junky 1 who will steal from his own mother to feed habit / gets what he deserves in the end

Junky 2 who is friend of Junky / gets what he deserves in the end

Girlfirend to Junky 1 who is too stupid to realize that she is clinging to a loser who drops her at the first hint of a score; ends up doing ass-to-ass as a result / don't care

Mother to Junky 1 who is the only character in this film that generates any kind of pathos but not enough to justify wasting two hours of my life...

The love angle between Junky 1 and Girlfriend to Junky 1 is laughable and not dramatically credible.

In the end, when a good portion of the posters in this thread only mention, or comment on, the ass-to-ass scene, what does that tell you about the movie as a whole?

Of course they got what they deserved. The movie is supposed to show that severe addictions can lead to ruin. I felt they were unredeemable and still think it's a great film.

My point is that since these characters generate nothing in the way of pathos (except for the mother), because of how paper-thin they are, I'm left wondering, "Okay, so?" In terms of time invested, the movie is a waste of time -- nothing more than a shock-fest...

By the way, what is your definition of "great" where movies are concerned?
