Durham broke ground on a $5 mil renovation of that ballpark yesterday.

One of the top baseball movies -- certainly the funniest.

Great moments:

-Nuke getting in trouble for singing a song with the wrong words on the bus

-Crash prompting the manager to scare the team and subsequent speech in the showers

-Crash teaching Nuke how to talk to the media

-Any confrontation between Crash and Annie

-Crash's confrontation with the umpire

-"Charlie, here comes the deuce. And when you speak of me, speak well."

-The final chat between Crash and Nuke after Lalush gets the called up to the majors

You really know this movie  i'd add, "I want to announce my presence with authority!" and "Anything that travels that far should have a god damn stewardess on it!"

For some reason, I don't care for this movie.

It has some good moments, but overall I was unimpressed.

Okay I just had a strange little moment. Theresa when you initially started this thread a few days ago, I was absolutely gonna make the same exact post quote you just did there, and apparently I really thought that I even had. So I just opened this back up and saw yours and I"m thinking, "huh?? She tossed up the very same quote I did, just a couple days ago? wtf?" Then of course scrolling up and discovering the reality, I don't know what the hell was goin on in those few hours in my addled brain that day :P :haha:

no, really, i'm not a mod.

Frank used to set up the lead posts and then PM a mod to sticky the thread, give us the Poll Wording, and we'd "do" it.

I agree with everything else, but this isn't funnier than Bad News Bears.
