How does that work? I thought France wouldn't extradite someone only if the death penalty was involved.

First of all, "rape" is something of a strong word. It's highly likely that the girl was a starfucker, and Polanski was, shall we say, liquored up. Hell, they both were.

And I'm not sure where he is at the moment, but I don't think it's France. It's a country that doesn't work with the American justice system at all.

ANYWAY, I'm sick of any Polanski thread turning into this bullshit. ENOUGH, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE! Let's talk about the man's art, not his fucking actions thirty years ago!
