Just saw this for the first time. Someone please explain to me what the hell was going on, specifically the David Bowie scene and the room with the weird people.

the david bowie scene? I dont' remember anything to that effect.

now you gotta watch every episode and figure it out for yourself. there are way too many plot lines to explain it all and even if I tried, you wouldnt' really "get it".

If you're looking for an explanation you'll never find it, Lynch doesn't even know what his imagery means.

It was waay too long, but once of the best horror movies I've ever seen.

Not true.

For example, on the Mullholland Dr. dvd, he gives some clues to help figure out what the movie actually means. I read a study by a film class that dissected this movie and what they came up with was brilliant and it made perfect sense. If you take your time and analyze all of the symbolism and stuff in his films, you can figure them out.

Lynch is one of my favorite directors. The reason he stands out so much as an actual director is because his films are so atmospheric. It's not so much the plot or what is going on, it's the feelings and the tension that is created for the viewer. As far as suspense goes, I'm not short of saying that only Hitchcock can top him.

Thought the movie was too long and kinda....misguided. Like, every other Lynch movie I've seen I didn't necessarily understand but I had a feeling that no matter how 'obscure' 'odd' 'fragmented' the movie got, that he was trying to say something, that he knew what he was doing. Here, I didn't feel that. However, it is scary, like, that scene where the main girl is lying in bed, looking at the picture, then she goes to sleep and the camera pans into the picture and all of a sudden we're in the picture, I knew what was happening but was absolutely terrified as to what was gonna be IN the picture. It's like you're driving on one of those highways around in KY and stuff where there's no one around you for miles and it's just road, road and more road so you know what's around but then, all of a sudden, something/someone jumps into the middle of the road out of nowhere. That's the feeling I had.
