You beat me to this by a day. A friend of my sister's worked on the film and the DVD screener is going to be in my hot hands tomorrow. It's supposed to be good.

It was pretty good. I think Elijah Wood was somewhat poorly cast, and the setup was weak--they really just threw him into the thick of things with a weak backstory-- but the soccer parts were well done.
I'd heard almost nothing about hooliganism (being an american) so it was very interesting. Check it out.
Just saw this movie and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's probably a hooligan movie set up for Americans as I'm sure there are some serious inaccuracies, but I found myself understanding how easy it can be to jump into one of these groups.

Here's a post on another board by someone who was in the ICF (West Ham's firm) in the 80's, posted to Arsenal fans:

Right then boys let's cut the crap and stick to the facts...
Plaistow '85 was probably your best result at ours but blown out of all proportion for me. Yeah you caught us out and there were plenty of ours who thought we were invincible (and we aren't) nobody is and anyone can get done on the day. You didn't last 2 minutes in the west lower that day though when most our main boys were still outside but still you'd made your point at Plaistow and made some of ours think again...
For me Arsenal always put up the better show home and away as opposed to Spurs and Chelsea. At least you came looking for it and always turned up in east London early unlike the Yids who were quite happy bowling out the station down Green St at ten to three giving it the biggie under heavy plod escort most years. Came unstuck against you lot on several occasions and thought you were very good especially between 1984-1986. Was good mates with several of your well knowns from that period and used to enjoy a few beers with them on nights out (match days permitting of course!).
Regards this turn up early thing, well Spurs KNEW what time WH were arriving and the venue so no excuses for them at all. The pub wasn't empty far from it and neither was the Millwall pub in the late 80's whatever shit you have read elsewhere. 'Wall were busy smashing up a well known empty east London boozer the same day but funny how you never hear about that. No big result to claim at Millwall that day for me despite the camera crew...we never found them and they didn't find us, 1990 made up for that though as war raged outside the old Den!
