George Clooney is apparently in talks to play a role in Paramount Pictures' remake of Stephen King's "Pet Sematary" reports Bloody Disgusting.
It's unsure which role he has in the remake which was written by Dave Kajganich, Mike Werb and Michael Colleary. One suspects though that it will be the role of either the leading man Louis or the neighbour Jud. The film is based on Stephen King's 1983 novel of the same name that was previously adapted onto film in 1989.
The plot follows a doctor and his family moving to an idyllic home next to a highway running through a small Maine town. When their pet cat dies, a neighbour shows them not only the nearby pet cemetery, but an Indian burial ground beyond it which has the ability to bring things back from the dead with horrific results.

What a horrible idea. If they're gonna touch any of King's stuff, why not make movies about the Dark Tower books instead of remaking this?
well they are making black house. that's about as close as we're gonna get. they're actually making the talisman too, completely seperate. as if that won't confuse people...

I definitely agree that if they made a string of movies with the right cast and film crew on the dark tower series, it would rival the lord of the rings trilogy. It would be fucking intense.

why are they remaking a movie that is fine to begin with???? How could they find a scarier kid than that one to come back from the dead and kill his family? That kid still freaks me out and the crazy sick sister "RAAACHEEELLLLLL" that shit is fuckin disturbing. I love the original why fuck with it.

I think your frustration stems from the fact that you believe that Hollywood puts artisitc merit before a good ol' cash grab.
If studios believe that they can put people in the seats, no matter how bad the content, they'll green-light it.

I agree with what your saying about the "cash grab" but I don't believe that Hollywood puts artistic merit first, that's why it frustrates me cuz it's fuckin backwards.
