anyone gonna be watching?
i loved this for the first 2 or 3 seasons( cant remember how many there are so far) then the season before last i didnt like quite so much because alot of the stuff seemed a bit to real, like it fealt like you just saw someone die at times, and also it had the whole thing where the captain was forced to give the dude head. but last season was back to being awesome again so i am really looking forward to tonight

well if you get a chance to catch a small marathon a few episodes in this season then give it a shot and see if it is somehitng you would like. if you have seen nip tuck or rescue me on FX then they give you an idea of what they let go on on the FX originals, and this show is about a dirty cop that sometimes kinda seems like he is going back good, then goes back bad and stuff, but the only things he really does that are bad is that they kinda run the drug dealers on their town by giving them protection for a price but at the same time they kinda regulate the drugs and stuff. they also get overly tough with alot of criminals to get info or what ever out of them to ultimatly help. it gets addictive after a few episodes

i've only heard good things about it. i did lie...i've seen a few episodes, but spotty, not a whole episode. it looks awesome. i used to love 'the commish' so i know i'd like it, because chiklis is an awesome actor.

he is a real bad ass in this show, the thing that made me watch it from the beginning was the scene they showed in the previews was of him going in to interigation(SP?) when no one else could get answers from someone, he walks in and unhooks the camera that lets the other cops watch as well as record and then beats the answers out of the guy with a phone book
but you may like it or you may hate it but give it a shot sometime if you get a chance

Fucking phenomenal. I love this show...it's definitely my favorite on TV.
Forest Whittaker is one of the biggest letdowns ever. I was nervous about Glen Close being in season 4, but she made it and because of her (and the storyline, too, as well as Anthony Anderson--who may well be the best bad guy ever) it's my favorite season.
But Forest is such a retarded, overacting idiot that it's really, REALLY making me not like this season at all. I can't take him or any scene he's in seriously. He's so fake it's killing the rest of the show. God...he better get his shit together.

The premier was last tuesday 1/10. It was an okay episode, again ruined by Forest. It was great until his ridiculous scenes came on and ruined any sort of realism that was going on.
Next week looks awesome and from the previews, it looks like Lem DOES get back with the team...we'll have to see. I really hope this isn't the last season. :-\

i hope its not the last also, but that is the first thing i thought when i heard them say that vic is being forced to retire in 4 months , so i hope the make up somehting to keep him from retiring so we get more seasons.
the end of last nights episode was funny as hell when that dude( already forgot his name) was being a big bad ass all episode, not caring about vic and thinking he was a joke, then when he found out what was gonna happen to him he started whining like a baby

Are you talking about Lem? He honestly didn't know that Vic killed Terry in the first episode of the first season. He really thought that the drug dealer shot Terry, so all along, he was protecting Vic from what he thought were bullshit charges.
Then he confronted Vic and found out the truth, which he was starting to believe from what Aceveda and Whittaker's character were telling him.
I really like Lem. He's definitely my favorite character on the show.

i like lem alot also, i started him alot back in the first season( i think) when he was kinda with a girl that was either getting roughed up or just bothered by some guy and lem took care of him.
but the funny part from last night was with that guy, were they calling him doomsday maybe, but the main bad guy from last night, went from bad ass to puss as soon as he realized he was getting handed to the mexican cop

ohhh! That part. hahaha...yeah, Doomsday was such a big pussy. But then again, wouldn't YOU be the same way if you found out you were going to Mexican jail on breaking the carrying a concealed weapon laws? Ugh...it makes me shudder to think about.
What the hell is up with Claudette, too? She was acting REALLY strange and I was hoping we'd find something out about that last night.

was she acting the same way in the first episode?
is she with anyone on the show? i cant remember if she started seeing someone last season. but for a guess, maybe she is pregnant or somehitng, that would make her act different, but it seems like somehitng changing her mind or somehitng like that, maybe someone behind the scenes making her act different.

I don't think she's seeing anyone...I know there was that guy, the drywaller or something like that, that was hitting on her in the third season (it was either 2 or 3), but they never mentioned it again.
And I can't remember if she was even in the first episode. I think she was, but had a minimal part.
The new captain is such a douche rocket it's unreal. I hate that guy SO much.

I liked tonight's episode, especially because Tina, or whatever that Mexican cop's name is, is so fucking hot.

i was thinking about it tonight, and the way she likes to use excessive force makes me think that they might work her on the the strike team or something. but since she is just a rookie and probably has to stay with julian for a while im probably just looking to far ahead
