the main reason i wanted to see it was because i heard it gave the backstory of brick and wes mantooth, but it didn't deliver on either.

What the fuck were you expecting? It's a bunch of outtakes and deleted scenes. There's some great stuff there.

that anchorman movie was one of the most unfunny crapfests ever made. will ferrel is nothing more than a 3 minute sketch comic. that movie was the worst thing Ive ever payed to see

This Was An Innovative Way To Show Deleted Scenes And Alternate Takes., 16 February 2005
Author: BigHardcoreRed from Calimesa, California

As I am sure most of you know, Wake Up, Ron Burgundy was compiled completely of deleted scenes and alternate takes. Some are saying it is a sequel to Anchorman, but it feels more like an alternate movie. The same things happen to all the characters, but in different ways. All it took was a narrator to piece together the scenes on the cutting floor and there you have it, another movie!

Wake Up, Ron Burgundy is obviously not as good as Anchorman, due to the fact that most of the best scenes made it into the original movie. However, it is an awesome supplement to the original movie, complete with it's own set of special features. It even has it's own deleted scenes. Considering the movie is all deleted scenes, they must have had a ton of extra footage to pull together a project like this. If the movie had to stand on it's own, I would not rate it very high, but for what it is, I give it about a 6.5/10

hip street cred? what the hell?

anchorman was shit. I sat in a sold out theater watching it in dead silence. not one person laughed the whole time. it was the dumbest unfunny thing Ive ever seen. not a single laugh. not even a laugh at how pathetic the jokes were. every single solitary moment of that movie was dreck.

Will Ferrell shoulda stayed on SNL.

Anchorman is the best comedy movie I've seen in years, but I guess not everyone digs that style of humor.
