yeah probably the best thing he's done ever next to the royal tennenbaums, but he wasn't even close to the reason why that was so good

Why didn't you think it was good is my question.

best moment in that movie is the fight at the castle where jim carey sings the theme to star trek. "la la la LA, la la la LA!"

cracks me up every time. Plus the number of times mathew broderick clearly is trying to fight off the laughter. "hello clarisse." Broderick is clearly laughing.

it's just a fun stupid movie that tries a little too hard to be serious about the effect of TV on americans. but its still hilarious.

very true.

and i don;t see how broderick couldn't laugh. if you think about it they must have re-shot those scenes dozens of times. if that was the best they could get with him still laughing. i can;t imagine.

the basketball scene is pricless. "hey rick thanks for the boost i've never scored a slam dunk before"
"what are you doing"
"i'm just talkin trash"
"you ruined the game"
"i don;t like your tone steven, friends arn't supposed to talk to each other like that"
"friends? what do you mean we're not friends"
"let's change that lemme buy you a heinekin"

Best Jim Carrey movie EVER.

Plus, in that final scene on the satellite dish ... they totally predicted Time Warner's Internet, Phone, and Digital Cable package.

Not to mention that with the latest versions of Mortal Kombat, you can indeed play a friend in Vietnam from your home.

well i guess i missed whatever the point of the movie is supposed to be. the meaning of that whole sub-plot thing with the brother on trial escapes me. jim carrey just annoys me more than anything, especially with that lisp. i didn't really laugh or enjoy myself at all well watching it.

the trial sub-plot is hilarious.

Oh my God! Oh my God! My twin brother has been shot! I think it was an Asian gang or something... There was this guy, he looked Asian... and he was speaking another language, I'm pretty sure it was... Asian.

Classic flick. It's too overlooked and people should be reintroduced to it. I watched it again for the first time in a while the other day and it's absolutely hilarious!
