Quite possibly my favorite author, creator of some of the most original literature of all time. His writing style and the imagery and feelings that he was able to create by putting words on a page continue to amaze me. I'd reccomend these to start with:
The Martian Chronicles
The Illustrated Man
The Golden Apples of the Sun
Fahrenheit 451

She hated Bradbury????? How is that possible???
Not real sure. I think she said something along the lines of "too dark... boring... nothing happens." She preferred Jane Erye (sp?) and all those Jane Austen books. Thus, I don't think she got it.

She must have missed it. Ray Bradbury is an author thats almost never boring and whose work always has a lot going on.

I believe it was addressed long before Bradbury. Plato had a few words to say about it too. But this is the beauty of art, that it both repels and attracts; the healthiest relationship to have.

Oh yeah. Bradbury was by no means the first to write about this, and certainly not the last either.

Yeah, that's a very obtuse decsription of Bradbury, I think she would have done herself a good service by looking in the mirror.
