I was thinking about Peter Jackson's other films and remembered (with a shudder) this one. What are your opinions on it? For me, it has to be (strangely, I feel) one of the most disturbing and unsettling movies I've ever watched. I've never had a movie affect me like this one - I was pretty numb after it. It's been a while since I watched it, but I (think) I remember 2 scenes which disturbed me the most:
First, the way in which the "Borovnian" fantasy scene depicted in the girl's head is ripped apart by actions in the real world (namely her getting deflowered) and second, the murder scene. I've honestly never seen such a horrible murder - graphic and pretty disturbing.

I only saw this movie once, about a year ago, and remember really liking it, but not much else. I remember the basic story was two girls who plotted to kill their parents because the parents thought the girls were too into their own fantasy world.
Is the scene you mentioned the one where the girls fantasy comes to life and you see all the clay figures alive and stuff? if so, that part kicks ass.

Unfortunately, it's so elementary, and the big time investors behind the drive in the stock market aren't so stupid. This isn't the false economy of 2000.
