I really like this movie. I don't own it but whenever it's on I'm compelled to watch. Kurt Russell's "Bull" character was always my favorite.

How did I miss this thread?

I love this movie, it's a classic in the Firefighting world. I have seen it sooooooo many times that I could recite a good majority of the lines off the top of my head.

One of my favorite parts of Backdraft is when the guys are having lunch at the station. They bring the dummy, the same dummy that Brian "rescued" earlier in the day, up from under the table. :haha: I also love the very last scene of the movie where Brian is back in the engine and he's helping the probie snap his turnout coat the proper way. (Like "Bull" did to Brian in the beginning of the movie.)

There are two scenes at the end that always get me. The first is where they show the engines going down the street with the caskets on the hose bed. (You see this giant sea of Firefighters walking behind them.) The other part is when they salute at their fallen brothers at the cemetery.

You have to admit they did some pretty things with fire. I think this movie is a big reason I was a complete pyro from the ages of 5-8.

 There are plenty of bad horror movies, and plenty of good ones, just as there would be in any genre. I don't like the bad ones. Unless, you know, they're so bad they're good.

fair enough. but i don't see anything wrong with making a backdraft thread considering that comment. hell, there are people that like friday the 13th and think it's a good movie.

Sorry, I didn't mean anything by it. I was just kidding around.

And Friday The 13th is a fun movie.
