Has anyone seen this? It's absolutely fantastic!
It's a documentary/concert film about a cross-Canada music festival in 1970 featuring The Band, Janis Joplin, The Greatful Dead, Buddy Guy, The Flying Burrito Brothers, plus more.
The first concert is in Toronto, then all the bands hop on a train called the "Festival Express" and party and jam for a couple days. Then they get off in Winnepeg and perform another concert. Then they party and jam all the way to Calgary where they perform the final concert.
The concert footage is great, but what's really cool is seeing all the musicians partying and jamming on the train. It's amazing to see Jerry Garcia, Janis Joplin, Rick Danko, and others playing and singing together, wasted out of their minds.
