I could've sworn there was a thread on this show, but I didn't see it vis a vis the search tool.

Anyway, has anyone kept up with this season? It's been good enough for me to keep watching. It's moving pretty slowly, but still manages to be interesting week after week. That hot-as-hell reporter doesn't hurt either.

i've been watching it... and im not much of a sci-fi fan, but this show is pretty cool... i like the way it moves slowly and lets you kind of guess at what the hell is going on and what may happen next... i was kind of drawn in because i'm a big fan of the main character (the guy from Tilt, not sure of his name)

and i love me some larkin...Mmmmmm

Yes, the reporter is hot. I've kept up with the show and I like it so far. I like how they are revealing little things about the character's pasts on each episode.

I don't know if it's necessarily a Lost rip-off. Invasion's a bit different in that I think it's fairly obvious what is occurring, and the show manages to be interesting regardless.

yeah... definitely a bit more obvious as to what is taking place, but there are still a lot of "what the fuck was that about?"'s

I like how it's revealing things but not in the same way as Lost. It doesn't have flashbacks but you are finding out things about the plane crash, how the sheriff was the only survivor, about the Dad's parents supposed to be on a boat that never came when he was young, etc. They reveal things that you know will be relevant later on which keeps me watching as the backstory along with the regular story unfolds. So in that way its like Lost but it's also completely different.

why is it that among the shows that are about invasions, threshold is the best? invasion, i mean snore me to death, couldn't keep my interest. and lake bell, while i love her, want to do naughty naughty things to her, just doesn't cut it, BORING!!!

anyone check out nightstalker using mishmosh of x-files eps for the reimagining, (didn't see the original, but know that x-files ripped that off big)

Same here. It's very deliberately-paced, and it seems like pretty much everything is out in the open, but there's also the feeling that there's a ton of stuff still to come. Great all around, from the acting to the production to the hot chicks.

I'm wondering if the army Tom is supplying on the "Uncharted Key" is actually an army to fight the "bad" aliens.

On second thought, that doesn't make much sense, because those on the Key are the bad aliens.

can anyone give me a recap? I fell asleep during lost and missed invasion. I wish this strep throat would go away.

I agree, but I think it keeps expanding. I think that, initially, the big "secret" was Tom's role in all of this as a possible mastermind. Now that it looks like Tom is simply making his own way through all of this, the way the series is framed changes.

Jim, I seriously can't figure out how you still love this show after this season (let alone the past three seasons). This show is horrendous. The only reason I can fathom this show still being on the air is the money it makes from advertising. There is nothing unique about it anymore, and it's become a cliche of itself week after week. With all due respect to you, anyone who is still entertained by this show has problems in the head.

Thats sort of how I feel about Invasion now...

How so?

Nice move. ;)

I guess it hasnt become cliche, and I started off really enjoying the show. But the acting is bad and the plot twists have just become predictable, IMO. Plus they waited like half the season before they told us anything. I know thats how they keep the viewers week after week, but it just got boring for me.

I disagree with you on the acting.

As far as it being boring, I'm not with you yet, but they definitely need to keep progressing the plot along. I think there's enough happening in each episode, such that it hasn't bothered me that they haven't advanced the over-arching mythology too much yet.
