Tarantino Sets Kill Bill 3 Filmmaker says the sequel is due out ... in 2014?! by Jim Vejvoda
October 1, 2009 - Oscar-winning filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has confirmed that he will indeed make Kill Bill 3.
Entertainment Weekly reports that, while appearing on the Italian talk show Parla Con Me, Tarantino said "he will make another installment of his successful Kill Bill series, but that he wants there to be a 10-year break between the second and third film."
"That would put Kill Bill 3 with a 2014 release date and his star Uma Thurman at 44, just the right age to kick more ass," EW points out.
Maybe by then we'll finally see the home video release of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, the long-awaited box set that would combine both Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2 into one big film. Or perhaps now Tarantino will wait even longer to release it so as to include the third film in it.
What might the story be for the third installment? Well, Tarantino himself has reportedly said that a sequel might revolve around Nikki Bell's quest to avenge the death of her mom Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox) at the hands of The Bride in Vol. 1. Rumors swirled at the time of the first film's release that Tarantino had shot additional scenes with Ambrosia Kelley, the actress who played young Nikki, because he wanted to use the character in a future sequel.
/Film reported in June 2007 that Kill Bill executive producer E. Bennet Walsh revealed that Tarantino had "formulated the plots for two sequels which he plans to film in China. According to our friends at FilmIck, Kill Bill: Volume 3 would be the revenge story of two Crazy 88s killers whose arms and eyes were hacked by Uma Thurman in the first volume. Kill Bill Volume 4 would than focus on the battle between the daughters of Beatrix Kiddo and Vernita Green, an idea which Tarantino had been very vocal about during the film's theatrical release."

My brother is a big movie buff, but he never saw Kill Bill. He wanted to wait until it was one long movie or box set and buy it. Its funny that more volumes are planned. He'll end up seeing it in like, 10 years, when its all compiled. Haha.

"Remember back the early days when you were young and thus amazed."
CriEnglish.com is reporting (via Hangzhou's City Express) that "Kill Bill" Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 executive producer E. Bennett Walsh has revealed details of a possible third and fourth film:
The plots of Kill Bill 3 and 4 have been shaped and there is a chance director Quentin Tarantino will return to China to shoot them, an executive producer of the first two films said on Friday.
Bennett Walsh said at the Shanghai International Film Festival the third film involves the revenge of two killers whose arms and eyes were hacked by Uma Thurman in the first stories.
The fourth instalment of the popular kung fu action films concerns a cycle of reprisals and daughters who avenge their mother's deaths, Hangzhou-based newspaper City Express quoted Bennett as saying.
While Tarantino has talked about continuing the films, there's been no official confirmation it will happen.

The 2nd had such a perfect ending. I love the final battle, it's raw, quick, personal when everybody was thinking of something fancy and epic.

he's talked about this before. saying that bill's daughter trains to kill uma;s character. at least that's what i recall. i'm excited.
here is the issues with this...the entire point of Kill Bill was that were pulling for uma to overcome the odds & kill the DVAS. She was the heart of both movies. In the third one do you really want to see some snot nosed kid trying to seek revenge on The Bride? And if Nikki is the "bad guy" in Vol 3 and she doesn't kill Uma that it goes against what Kill Bill is. It seems lose lose unless it goes something like this....
Nikki kills the bride right off, and her daughter is the one seeking revenge against Nikki and her new gang of thugs. or if he is going to do a Vol 3 & 4 have Vol 3 end with Uma dying, and the 4th one being the Bebe revenge plot.

I love theses movies...maybe a little too much.
i'm not going to think about it that much, he's been thinking about the sequels for years now. i have a feeling he'll do better than we can deliberate based on what we know.

Right. Just like that Vega Brothers movie he talked a lot about a few years ago. QT talks about movies he's going to make more than he actually does make.
link is an article in spanish with comments from tarantino (he was in mexico to present basterds recently) saying he will try to write a sequel or prequel to basterds. says he also wants to do a western at some point, and also mentions kill bill 3 (no details regarding the story) and mentions he's aware of the violence drugtrafficking causes in mexico. ends saying that if a good enough story came to him, he would do a movie about drugtrafficking and violence in mexico.
i'd translate but i don't have time right now. those are the only worthy tidbits anyway.
