WEST HOLLYWOOD, California (AP) -- Mischa Barton was arrested for misdemeanor driving under the influence after her car was stopped by sheriff's deputies early Thursday morning in West Hollywood.
Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said the former star of "The O.C." was taken into custody at about 2:45 a.m. after deputies saw her car straddling two lanes of traffic and failing to signal while making a turn.
The 21-year-old actress was being held in a West Hollywood jail on $10,000 bail. She was arrested for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence and driving without a license.
Calls to her manager and publicist weren't immediately returned. Barton played Marissa Cooper on "The O.C." from 2003 to 2006. Her arrest was first reported by Hollyscoop.com.

and it does seem like it's a ton of women lately. paris, lohan, britney, barton, michelle rodriguez, etc.

A lot of people drive drunk. Celebrities, for some odd reason, seem to drive both BADLY, and REALLY drunk. That's how you get busted, not by having three or four drinks and getting behind the wheel.

she did, i beleive. in any case thats a ship that people are dying to see sink. its kinda sick really. though im not a fan, in her defense, when you have your life scripted out for you for years like that, it would make anyone go crazy if they had no real say in that kinda thing. maybe she wanted to be a Belgian waffle sales person. ya ever consider that? hah
