I'm not normally a big anime fan (if you can call this that) or video games, but FF VII is one of my favorite stories of all time and this movie is a worthy followup. A decent storyline continuation and some absolutely amazing action scenes is what you're in for here. If you're a fan of the game, I highly recommend downloading this.

I've heard it's pretty shitty plotwise. I'm guessing it's probably only worth seeing for the CG.

I absolutely loved the storyline from FFVII, it was fantastic. Does it follow it pretty closely? And is it available to rent on DVD?

i cant believe no one has talked about this since its official release last week. unless they did, in another thread... but whatever.

anyone who is/ was a fan of the game needs to see this movie. its so badass, that if it were any more badass it would explode from sheer badassness.

as far as characters go, the focus is on cloud, tifa, the turks, and a couple newcomers. the rest of the playables from the game are featured, but not much. just warning you, so you dont get upset when cait sith doesnt get a big scene.

advert children is one totally amazing cgi animated movie. to date ... it's the greatest looking animated movie ever

even if you're not into the final fantasy series or don't know jack about the ff7 psx game, it's still worth checking out.

i like the movie, the story is just OK to me, nothing spectacular. What IS spectacular is the visuals of the movie, just amazing animation, and the action sequences are impressive, very stellar.

this is on my netflix cue, and im deffinately looking forward to seeing this.

watched the movie again last night .. kicks ass.
months later, this soundtrack is just ... kicking my ass.

saw this the other week, it was pretty good. i was grateful for the refresher of the storyline on disc 2 since it had been years since i played this game. surely the best story in any game apart from the classic "the princess is in another castle!"

Never saw this one, but I thought the story of FFX was incredible. The ending was pretty emotional. I almost cried over a video game!
