Steve Zissou is an oceanographer who makes movies of his expeditions, his partner is killed by a leopard shark. he swears that he is going to hunt down the shark and kill it. i don't want to say any more because it's such an anti-plot story... but you will love it if you like wes anderson... his world in this movie is amazing and magical

You know, this is one of those movies that I just consider as a kaleidoscope of scenes. There's some seriousness underneath it all, but for the most part, it's just funny and absurd. And all David Bowie rocks!
God bless,
Jared

I'll probably wait til it comes out to rent. It looks pretty good, but I think Wes Anderson is kinda overrated. The only movie of his I liked was Rushmore, but it wasn't 4-stars or anything. I admit I haven't seen Bottle Rocket, but The Royal Tenenbaums was just "ok," to me.

The royal tenenbaums was great, Bottle Rocket is my favorite of the three, and someone should cut your head off for calling Wes Anderson overrated. I'll bet you liked 'Old School.'
I can't see the Life Aquatic until this weekend because it didn't open here on christmas like it did in the rest of the world.

Actually, I haven't seen Old School and don't intend to. Nice assumption, though.

i got to the theatre to see it on christmas and they had little signs up that said "due to problems with the distributor, the life aquatic will not be showing today".
so i had to see ocean's 12 instead, which was fine and all, but, i'd've rather seen the life aquatic
the end
