I'm looking forward to the new eps. I just hope they don't meander along like they have the past few seasons. Loved the first three seasons but the second half of the series have left me thinking "you mean that's it" other than a standout episode here & there.
From what I have heard it's the second show of the batch that gets the action going.

someone give me a run down on what happened earlier in season 6. i can't remember at ALL.
vito and johnny cakes made out a lot. vito got whacked when phil tardo literally came out of a hotel closet. johnny nutsack cried like a bitch at his daughter's wedding. phil wasn't impressed. tony recovered from being shot by his uncle. christofah did drugs with and fucked anabella sciorria even though T wanted her. i think aj is dating some single mom. meadow danced in her panties. paulie made amends with his "mom." bobby got fatter and now plays with trains in his garage. silvio looked angry. that's about it.

I remember when people said that Season 6: Episode 2 was a terrible episode, especially after the setup in Ep. 1, but I was completely blown away by it, especially with repeat viewings. So I never listen to people's first impressions.

Agreed. Of all the things discussed in this forum, opinions of recent sesaons of The Sopranos are the ones I disregard the most.
