i've read some sartre (not nausea) and i found it really interesting. the stranger and the prince are really good. i found the republic very interesting but i'm not sure what i would've thought of it without my professor telling me exactly what plato was getting at at certain points. never really read all of the communist manifesto, just bits and pieces for school. marx is good for insight on exploitation of the third world and capitalism even if you don't really like the whole communism idea.

It's a well-known existentialist novel about a writer and his struggle with starvation, amongst other things. If you like The Stranger, than you'll probably like Hunger.
