My mom wants to know what I want for Christmas. Recommend me some box sets.

I already have thought about the Kubrick collection (with Barry Lyndon, Lolita, Dr. Strangelove, Eyes Wide Shut, the Shining, Clockwork orange), the Indiana Jones trilogy, and the Blue/White/Red Trilogy.

Oliver Stone box set is great. I know he's hit or miss with people but i love all his movies. Whatr's weird is that i can't stop watching "Nixon". Shit, fantastic movie

I'd hold off on the Kubricks. There are supposed to be SEs of three of those coming out soon.

Picture quality is much better, the film is extended, the features are plentiful, the packaging is gorgeous, it comes with reprint poster cards...and on and on.

the first season of sealab 2021 deserves a look.

and i agree with ensign... the lotr ee dvds are some of the best ones out there in terms of overall quality. they have an incredible dts 6.1 soundtrack, hours and HOURS of special features (that are consistently interesting and entertaining) nice packaging, incredible digital prints (pic quality)... etc.
