first off, this is a conservative girl i went with, so not a lot of action, but some good news and bad news.

Bad news is that this movie really did fucking blow. Wow. And I tried to get into it.

Good news, she hated it so much she wanted me to pick a movie next week to go to. Ooooo another movie date for me. Inch by inch.

well i suppose one could blur reality and fiction.
my dads a big fan of the books, he drug me to it. fucking terrible movie. he hated it too.
if they had taken out the sappyness and all the teenage angst, there might be a few interesting things in the movie, but overall it was a fail.

the best thing about this was the Iron & Wine song playing on the last dancing

in order to make things alright, she had to watch The Transporter 3 with me tonight

The movie is actually far more entertaining than the book. Sad but true.

This whole movie is so surreally bad, the "vampire baseball" brought the lulz.

^ Only reason I liked the movie at all. It was all really horrible, but the baseball scene was total lol + song by Muse was great.

I try to imagine what the author was thinking when she wrote the book. I can hear her thoughts going like "humm...must vampires stories have them burning under the sun, but if instead of that, they...oh my Joseph Smith! Sparkle! That's it!"

We are familiar with your love of the paranormal, and its not unreasonable to assume a passing interest in crypto-zoology as well, but what sort of expectations could you have had for this film? Subversive Mormon propaganda, through and through. :shake:
