I watched the second half of the first season and I will admit, it was kind of entertaining.
But I then watched the first few episodes of the current season. What a waste of time. Every story line is trite, every action predictable, every situation implausable...there was something about the first season that made it not total shit, but it's gone now, whatever it was.
You're probably addicted or something. A friend of mine constantly says how much it sucks now, but she continues to watch it every week.

the o.c. is the only "show" i watch every week. i watch sportscenter and sporting events, but the o.c. is the only thing i plan my life around. if something is going on on a thursday night, it better not be happening between 7 and 8.
i think what got me hooked was season one with the constant threat of ryan raging on somebody. also, the music in season one was excellent. they didn't simply play new artists that wer supposed to be cool, they played great stuff. given my avatar, the highlight of the whole season was "hallelujah" at the end of the season finale (also played when ryan was living in that unfinished house). i thoroughly hated the part of this season with the wooden lesbian relationship and lindsay (with whom i don't understand how ryan had a relationship). i hope that those episodes were meant to be like that, with many fans pleading for things to turn back towards the way they were in season one (which they are now).
i can't believe i'm writing this much about the o.c.
about the females: i am a big marissa fan, especially this season since she seems to have put on a little weight so she isn't quite so twiggy. has anyone else noticed that she seems to have gigantaur feet? alex was ok, and summer is a keeper, but marissa is the creme de la creme.

I liked it 10 years ago when it was called Beverly Hills, 90210.
What pisses me off is that The OC is drawing just under 7 million viewers a week and it's already been renewed. Arrested Development is averaging 6 million and it could very well be cancelled. Nice to know where FOX's priorities are.

i remember watching the first episodes when it premiered a couple summers ago. The intital story-line was pretty cool. an outcast trying to make it in that type of society. interesting to tune in to. (they played dynasty warriors on the ps2, dude!)
but yeah, that was last year. never really got any interest in tuning in again.

I have a friend who watches the show, and I kid him often. I'm sorry, but I just don't understand why anyone out of their teens would want to watch it. If you just want to look at hot women, the Internet has everything you could want.
