Is it just me or is it quite often the fact that when a kid is brought onto a movie that said child ends up making the movie suck? Star Wars 1 wasn't great, but "Li'l Ani" just made it so much worse! I also think Terminator 2 would have been better without Furlong's prepubescent voice (the squeals he makes in the aquaduct scene make me cringe to no end). Of course there are also movies that debunk all this. Mathilda from The Professional (Leon) comes to mind as does Ralphie from A Christmas Story. Just curious what everyone's take is on this.

The kid in "Unbreakable" sucked really bad. I know exactly what you're talking about.

Can any of you list movies where they don't ruin the picture? And I'm not talking about some random kid in the background crashing his bike into an iron ore smelter. I mean one where the kid is an integral part of the film.

And of course, list any other movies in which you think the kid ruined the movie.

(I'm in an anti-kid mood this morning  )

Good call on I Am Sam. Dakota Fanning is a great actress.

The first movie that came to mind (to debunk this thread) was I Am Sam.
