Recommend me some good books that I should check out. Fiction or Nonfiction, any type you want.

Hey, I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but I'm certainly not the dumbest. I mean, I've read books like "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" and "Love in the Time of Cholera", and I think I've understood them. They're about girls, right? Just kidding. But I have to say my all-time favorite book is Johnny Cash's autobiography "Cash" by Johnny Cash.

Very good until the last 40 pages or so, but a good ending.

What is that book about?

Two magicians (Strange & Norell) try to rescue magic from those who would have it studied but not practiced. I'm only about halfway through it, though, so there might be more to it than that. It's very well written, managing to be both dry and engaging at the same time.

Is it literature or is it Grisham/King/Chrighton-esque?

I don't know, my definition of literature is pretty broad. It was up for all the big lit prizes last year, if that helps...? Also, it has lots of footnotes.
