Anyone watching this miniseries? Originally slated to play on the History channel, it's now playing on Reelz (? huh?) after a fair amount of controversy about how the Kennedy family was portrayed.



Thoughts?

i saw some of it last night. i just read a jfk bio last year so i dunno if i'll keep up with it, but what i saw was really good. the dad is clearly nuts

That it tries to make the Kennedys look bad. I'm irrational when it comes to the Kennedys, they have never done any wrong.

Huh. Strange. In the first 2 hour segment or whatever, the only person that's been painted somewhat badly is Joe (Sr.). But everything I've read indicates that he's pushy and pretty much like they've portrayed him so far.

There is also JFK's wandering eye implied, but that too seems to come from history. Otherwise, it's been quite interesting so far.

joe sr. was pushy, look at what his kids did, they had to come from pushy parents. i dunno how much they showed of joe sr.'s life, but from what ive read he always had a chip on his shoulder and it showed in his parenting.

i thought it was interesting how the portrayed the relationship between jack and joe jr.

Massachusetts man through and through.

i dunno if i can handle katie holmes' accent much longer
