This movie is the most brilliant thing ever made in the history of the world.
I'm glad you think so, dude. Apparently, I have not professed my love for this movie in this thread, but I'm sure I've posted in other places about how much I like this one. Great stuff.
Just give yourself to the experience. Suspension of disbelief is the name of the game. If you can do this, you're in for one hell of a ride. Your expectations should focus only on action sequences, don't worry about plot or characters or any of that shit.
The parachute sequence had me in stitches bordering on hysterics. Really, it's one of the most amazingly hilarious things I've ever seen. Same thing when Clive crashes head on onto the truck and flies through the windshield and into the truck and shoots the bad guys. I had to stop the DVD to watch that sequence again because it's so utterly awesome. Just fucking brilliant.
I was, however, disappointed by how little Giamatti was given to work with. I wish they'd made him more of a badass, but whatever. Still an incredibly entertaining film.
