I think this should be stickied.
The spoiler code is now working. Use it even when you think it is an unimportant spoiler!! Anyone spoiling info without it will be forced to post at Synergy for two weeks!!!

Only use the spoiler code for episodes that have not aired yet or rumors/leaks of what's going to happen later on in a season. If an episode has aired, DO NOT USE THE SPOILER CODE. If you haven't seen an episode that has recently aired, DO NOT GO INTO THE THREAD UNTIL YOU HAVE WATCHED IT. Simple enough?

What about movies? I don't think it's fair to post it the day after the release. is it fair to give it a week?
Also- Speculation should not be spoilered. Nor should officially released material- IE posters, promo shots, trailers, etc.

Movies are different, I agree. Good point. If you are going to talk about plot in any movie that is a new release, spoil it. But if it's not a new release, give me a break.

There's actually a very reasonable and unspoken spoiler ethic that goes on between Skitch, Mick, Pete, and I in the Homicide thread. It's a utopia, really.

Actually, the spoiler code has little purpose when there are people that are happy to unspoil things and post everything out in the open for the hell of it.
