I watched a few episodes this season randomly with some friends who are into it. I might have to go back and start watching from the beginning.
Yeah, but only do it if you like great television. Otherwise you're screwed.
i fear the rich flavors and subtle aromas of mad men may not agree with a palate accustomed to heaping spoonfuls of chicken delicious on sunday nights.

the trick is to hang in there for the first few eps as it's a slow burn kinda show and may take a bit to capture your heart and soul.

Don's reaction to the Meagan screen test was of genuine love (or at least it appeared that way). If he does cheat, I wonder what his motivation is.
That read a little differently to me. What I saw was a man who was realizing two things. The first, that this woman is beautiful to look at but is not a big talent; she's never going to be the artist that she wants to be. Secondly, that he recognizes all those reactions and facial expressions from their marriage. He realizes she's been acting.
I think that's why he gives her what she wants. Remember earlier in the episode when he's talking to Peggy in the theater, he says something along the lines of "that's what people do when you help them - they get better and move on."
Then we have that amazing shot of a broad-backed, confident, return to form Don Draper turning his back and walking away from the shoot. To me this is Don Draper essentially walking away from Meagan and the marriage. The growth is that it's not malicious or necessarily selfish. He's helping her get better and move on.
But I've only watched it once. Maybe on another viewing or two I'll change my mind about that.
it's almost like you're in the business or something
