How do you guys feel about this movie? I think its one of spielbergs best. Definitely John Williams best score in my opinion. I've grown up with this movie and is probably one of the most important movies in my life. I think there are definitely some cheesy spielberg moments, but its one hell of a movie.

One of Christian Bale's earliest performances and a great performance by John Malkovich... not to mention Ben Stiller in a small role.

It's one of Spielbergs most autobiographical movies (notice a scene where he walks infront of the japanese camera men to get pushed out of the way... a nod to him getting kicked off of a hitchcock set.) I believe he disowned it cause it didn't do well in the box office. I think its one of spielbergs best. It's in my top 5 because of the role its played in my life, but i'm curious to see what you guys think of it.

I thought it was good, but not great. Bale was a great child actor - it should be no surprise to anyone how great of an actor he became as a man. A little long, and as you said, some cheesy moments, but still worth a watch.
